Dr. Konell lives in Northwest Florida with his wife Teresa and enjoys an active lifestyle including hiking, cycling, and fishing. As a young boy, he often went on house calls with his dad. His dream was to be a doctor, like his father, Charles Konell, M.D.

He has honed his life work through practicing the “Art of Medicine”. Dr. Konell likes his patients to think him of as an “Old School Doctor” who will listen and talk with you about ways to keep you well.

Getting Into the Flow with Osteopathic Manipulation

If you are having back pain or neck pain from an auto accident or fall, you might come in for an Osteopathic Treatment. This is also known as Osteopathic Manipulative Therapy or OMT. Osteopathic means “Relieve from Pain.” And not necessarily bone pain, you see, the human body needs to have uninterrupted flow. By this I mean flow of blood, nervous impulses, and lymphatic system. It is known that the musculoskeletal system is the largest system in the human body and if it is out of alignment pain and other problems can occur is subluxation. By correcting subluxations with Osteopathic therapy a normal flow of blood, nervous and lymphatic system returns. When your natural flow of these systems restore so does well-being and good health.

Treated Conditions

Dr. Konell treats general medical conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure, GI issues, asthma, headaches, back or neck or shoulder pain, and much more! Dr. Konell also specializes in treating car accident victims. With years of dedicated experience, he understands the unique challenges these injuries present. From whiplash and spinal trauma to fractures and chronic pain, his comprehensive approach focuses on both healing and rehabilitation.

Our Approach

Osteopathic medicine naturally aligns with the principles of both holistic and integrative medicine, given its foundational philosophy. Osteopathic physicians (DOs) are trained to view the patient as a whole, considering physical, emotional, social, and even spiritual aspects of health. This holistic approach is fundamental to osteopathy, where the person's lifestyle, environment, and psychological state are all part of the diagnostic and treatment process.

Key Principles

Osteopathic medicine treats the whole person rather than just the symptoms. This approach considers how all parts of the body work together, focusing on the interconnectivity of the body's systems. One of the unique features of osteopathic medicine is OMT, a hands-on approach to diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illness or injury. Techniques include stretching, gentle pressure, and resistance to help restore function, alleviate pain, and support the body's natural healing processes.
